Archbishop Prendergast Visits OLV
KOC Fun Day at Waupoos Farm:Thanks to all of the families that came out to celebrate a great year at OLV. KOC Awesome Yard Sale 2009: Thanks to everyone who donated and came out to support the Annual Knights of Columbus Yard Sale. Funds from the Yard Sale will go to help the KOC in their many charitable activities. Planning is underway for next year and if you have any items to donate please contact the Knights. 7th Annual OLV Golf Tournament: Three Choir Concert - December 2008: Thanks to everyone who attended the Annual OLV Three Choir Christmas Concert - it was a huge success again this year. Many thanks to the 3-Choirs, the Harpist, the Flutist and our 5 o'clock trio, for their wonderful performances at the concert. Many thanks also to all who assisted in helping to make this event such a success. Annual Harvest Supper: Thank you to our volunteers and parishioners for another successful Harvest Supper. We served over 530 meals and brought in $7,841.10 in gross revenue. Expenses are estimated at $2500. A number of people cancelled for the 6 pm session. Left over food was sold with cooked items given to Harvest House. The left over juice was donated to OLV Food Bank.Over 60 volunteers helped to make the set up, cooking, serving and clean up work easier than ever! Our kitchen staff really like their new equipment and the roast beef and gravy supplied by Gino Milito of Orchard View Reception and Conference Centre was superb!. On behalf of Father Brian and the organizing committee thank you for your continued support! GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY: The official Ground Breaking at the site of the new Family Centre Parish Hall was held on Sunday, June 8th, 2008 after the 9 am Mass. Over 150 parishioners attended the ceremony with Fr. Brian, Msgs Kevin Beach, Vicar General of the Archdiocese, Deacon Pat McNulty and Fr. Everette MacNeil, Construction Committee Chairman.
