"He who sings, prays twice."

The members of our music ministry at Our Lady of Visitation Parish offer different styles of music, from solo to choral. Their gift of song brightens our Eucharistic celebrations. New members and new musicians are always most welcome!

We are delighted with the recent acquisition of a keyboard. With over 450 voices, this instrument will appeal to all ages and styles of music.

Visitation's Children's Choir

The Children's Choir, under the direction of Mike Gollé, provides music at the 9 am Mass on Sunday and practices on Thursdays from 7 - 8 pm (Sept - May). Children of all ages are welcome to join this choir, with an emphasis on learning and sharing God's Word through song. The choir also performs in local concerts and at a local senior's residence. A highlight of the choir year is the annual Christmas pageant.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir sings at the 11 am Mass on Sunday and practices are held on Wed evenings at 7:30 pm (includes tea, a goodie and some light conversation). We are a small group who would like to expand. If you have the gift of song or play a musical instrument, and feel you are being prompted, we would like you to consider joining us. Please call the office. We have fun as we work on learning new music. Our focus this year has been to build a repertoire of new music. Next year we will focus more on its presentation. Hope to see you in the fall when practices start up again.
