So, you're engaged to be married? How exciting!

But, do you fully understand the Sacrament of Marriage? Your wedding is one day. Marriage is for the rest of your lives! Please contact the office one year in advance of your anticipated wedding date. A marriage preparation course is mandatory. For more information, contact olvis@rogers.com to make arrangements.

A marriage preparation course provides an opportunity to identify your hopes and dreams and get into the habit of keeping the lines of communication open and effective. Not only does it give you the chance to uncover important issues that may be uncomfortable to discuss, it provides ways of addressing these issues effectively before they become a problem. In addition, the marriage preparation course provides time for you to spend together to reflect on what you want, where you are going and how you see your future lives together.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION: If you're planning on getting married within the next year, you will have to follow a Marriage Preparation course. Courses are available across the diocese and in our neighbouring dioceses. The list of available courses can be found on the diocesan website (www.archottawa.ca) under Pastoral Services/Family Ministry Office. Contact: Deacon Peter Lafleur (plafleur@archottawa.ca)
