    OUR MISSION

As the Parish Hall Fundraising Committee for Our Lady of the Visitation Church/Parish, our Mission is to lead the parishioners in "Projects for Profit" by generating and co-coordinating ideas for fundraising programs--then bringing these programs to fruition, while nurturing a sound "Spiritual" atmosphere within our Parish Community.

    COMMITTEE FUNCTION

Since the current major undertaking of our Parish is the construction of a "Family Centre/Parish Hall" and a "Rectory/Manse" for our Parish Priest--this committee assumes the long-term debt /mortgage reduction, and will assist in other Parish projects such as FURNISHING these structures, and provide funds for maintaining the condition of all Parish properties--except the Parish Cemetery.

This committee meets a minimum of once every month, with supplementary meetings prior to major events ("Charity Auction" and the "Annual Harvest Church Supper"). Meetings are held in the Sacristy at the Church (until our Family Center/Parish hall is ready) at 7:30 pm every THIRD Wednesday of each month.

At these meetings, the Chairperson offers each Volunteer an opportunity to express their ideas for fundraising projects, coupled with suggestions of a "modus operandi" for how the project could be organized in order to bring the best financial profit. Ideas are also offered up by the Chairperson, and all Volunteers help "BUILD" a plan on how to handle each project. The Volunteers also determine the best timing for all projects, with consideration for any/all other community projects in place which they may be aware of (by other churches or community groups).

Programs not directly related to the Family Center/Parish Hall continue to be supported by this group of Volunteers.

Never before has our Church/Parish undertaken a project of this magnitude, so there is an opportunity for:

      1. Volunteers to "make a real difference" in the progress and maintenance of our Parish facilities--while ensuring they meet the needs of our growing Parish Community!!

      2. Volunteers to become Church Community LEADERS, and enjoy contributing to the direction of Parish projects.

      3. Volunteers to grow "SPIRITUALLY" in giving time and effort in supporting HIS work in our Parish community.

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO "MAKE A DIFFERENCE" by enjoying an "awareness" of the operation of our Church--while determining the direction of the many facets supporting Our Lady Of The Visitation Church -- just come to a couple of our meetings. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!!!!!!!!!
